I used to watch Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook as a child. His flair and penchant for style, along with the quick wit associated with drawing a television audience had me hooked. I was maybe 7, he much older, but I related to him immediately.
I decided at that young age, that I wanted to do what he did, and the same way. To me, it was about cooking with style.
So now?
I am going to burn, chop, slice and stir fry my way through his lessons, teachings and books, in an attempt to reconnect to the cooking side of me that I found out I had.
